Palembang, Indonesia: PT Batch Automation Indonesia (BAI) recently completed the repair and reconditioning of a Batchtec portable wet-mix batching plant, which included the replacement of the twin shaft mixer for PT Dizamatra Powerindo, one of Indonesia's leading independent power producers and rapidly expanding coal mining companies.
PT Batch Automation Indonesia also carried out the relocation of the batching plant from Lahat, South Sumatra to Patra Tani, South Sumatra, covering a distance of 220 kilometres, which involved meticulous planning, precise execution, and the expertise of our skilled engineering team.

The relocation project posed significant logistical challenges and our team assessed the route meticulously, considering factors such as road conditions, weight restrictions, and potential obstacles. A comprehensive transportation plan was developed to ensure the safe and efficient movement of the plant's various elements.
We began the project by completely dismantling the batching plant at the Lahat site, which included the four-compartment aggregate storage hoppers, aggregate weighing hopper and belt assembly, and the inclined feeding belt, as well as the upper platform weighing mechanisms such as the cement weighing hopper, water weighing tank, screw conveyors, and cement silos.
Next, we conducted thorough welding and painting operations on any components that showed signs of corrosion or cracking.
The dismantling and overhaul processes were carried out with utmost precision, ensuring that each component was carefully removed and packaged for transportation, and our engineers employed specialised equipment and techniques to minimize downtime and eliminate the risk of potential damage.
The relocation of the batching plant was a complex operation that required careful coordination and execution. Our team successfully navigated the challenges posed by the long-distance transport, ensuring the safe arrival of the plant components at the new site.
Upon arrival at the new location in Patra Tani, our engineers meticulously reassembled the batching plant, ensuring that all components were properly connected and calibrated. Rigorous testing was also conducted to verify the plant's functionality and performance before it was handed over to the customer.
